Richard marks our first international submission.  This is a shot of him riding his '98 M2 at a track in Zandvoort (The Netherlands, so you don't have to look it up (ok, I didn't look it up, either; he told me))

A really good picture, too, I must say.  And there's got to be a good reason they don't do that carbon fiber air filter thing at the plant...

Another Rose submission.  This one is Jody's.  He tells me he did the paint job himself.  He did, however, forget to tell me what kind it was.  Not a Buell, I know that!

Jody and Rose live in Dallas.  I'll bet the yellow isn't to go faster, it's to be more visible.  Not that it does a lot of good when just about everyone on the road has their head up their butt.

Jeremy sent this pic of his '00 M2 Cyclone, which he might trade in on the XB9R Firebolt.

Best quote "If I didn't own a Buell my next choice would be a V-Max or a Thunderbolt S-3 of course. "  Um, I'm not the expert, but aren't Thunderbolts Buells, too?

He did buy his girlfriend a non-Buell to learn on, a Yamaha TW200.  Saving the good stuff until she's got more experience? ;-)

What's this?  Oh, it's that Thunderbolt.....

Now, this is just a guess, but I'll bet the Firebolt was at the show, too.  I'd say that since Jeremy decided to take a pic of the Thunderbolt instead of the Firebolt, he'd rather have it.

Ron sent in this '01 X1. Other than the race kit, I don't see anything else changed.  (Ok, I don't actually see the race kit, either, but he told me it was there....)

Behind all that smoke is Jason on his '95 S2, Maralyn.

The trophy is for 'hot bike' at the all Harley drags.  And that was before the mods done this winter.  More pics to come.

Let's see .... a new exhaust, airbox, and thunderslide kit....  Damn, I'm getting good at this.

Or maybe Rob told me what he'd done with his '01 M2.  He also said he would be adding more graphics next winter.

This photo is from Brian.  He kinda cheated and is riding a friend's bike.  We'll let him have it, though, since he's a fellow Glocker (that would be someone who owns  a Glock firearm).  He also has a wicked sense of humor.

Brian sent in another picture of him on someone else's bike (*no comment*), this one obviously taken quite some time ago.

Peter sent in this photo is his new '00 Blast (well, new to him and I'm pretty sure it didn't come from the dealer this way, either) with new intake and pipe.  He claims it's the best toy he's ever had.  Now, I like mine, and it's a single too, but it's not the BEST toy I've ever had...

Steve sent pictures of this day old Firebolt and his '02 M2Low.  It came with the Pro Series Race package (and therefore missing that horrendous bread box..) and what appears to be a ball cap.

While Steve seems to be a serious collector, several of these bikes do not belong to him.  Guess he's going to make them send in their own pics to get credit, though.

This is Mike's brand spankin' new '03 Firebolt.  He brought her home Aug. 12th but doesn't have her fully broken in yet (140 miles to go).  I might get a report when he can get on it after the break-in period J

I also get the feeling he wants me to plug his dealership A.D. Farrows "America's Oldest Harley Davidson Dealership"

Didn't even have to wait until after he broke it in to get a glowing report -

My first impressions of the Firebolt: It is simply Amazing! From the nimble handling, to the great torque to weight ratio, to the unbelievable stopping power, this machine is as good as advertised. I swear it really feels like Erik Buell built this bike just for me!

The only surprise so far has been the cooling fan, which has a louder whine than I expected, but I'm sure an aftermarket version will soon appear that will probably be more powerful and quieter (hmmm....I sense a potential niche market here if I had the time?). The fan reminds me of the big cooling fan on my PC.

I could not believe how little rider input is needed to make a precise turn at any speed. Until picking up this bike, I hadn't done any riding since about 1990 when I had a Kawasaki 650LTD. The Kawasaki was a great bike but the handling characteristics and the thrill factor of the 'bolt are in another league.

Back to Basics: I am going to enroll in a MSF new rider course for a refresher before I do anything stupid. I have had the bike for only a week and it brings back fond (NOT!) memories of Kawasaki riding experiences: 1) Yesterday a woman in the car ahead flicked a cigarette straight up in the air, bouncing it off the wind deflector and narrowly missing my lap, 2) Last week (second day of riding) while stopped at a light with several cars in front of me, I heard the loud screech of tires coming directly at me from behind. The guy stopped about 5 feet behind me as I was preparing to escape to the shoulder (Frankly, I would have been too late if he had not stopped in time). 3) I have had at least three instances of cars turning in front of me.

Thankfully, I live only a few minutes away from some country roads which are not twisty enough for the 'bolt, but they are mostly desolate. Happy Buellin'!!!

Thanks for sharing your observations and tips on your web site. The website looks fantastic, especially since my photo was added...;-)

Not that I would encourage this sort of  behavior (not destructive enough)...

Tony (an Aquarius) from American HD/Buell (they don't officially condone this sort of behavior either) sent these pictures taken outside a Hooters (what else?) after their local BRAG meeting.  Ladies, he's single, too. [Turn ons include long walks on the beach, stoppies, wheelies, and candle lit dinners.  Plus the obvious - hooters]

He tells me it's easy to keep it up if you go fast enough.

Tony's also the BRAG (Buell Riders Adventure Group) Director for the Ann Arbor (Detroit) area.  If you're in the Detroit area and would like more information on joining or hanging out, call him at work at 800-234-7285.  If you'd like to talk dirty, call him on his cell at 734-355-7453.

Adam from Michigan has a stock 2002 X1W (White Lightning) that was hit by an old guy in a Oldsmobile who dented his (Adam's) pipe.  Close up of the ceramic pipes and the plate below.  I understand the pipes were the main draw for getting the bike in the first place.

Now, about the plate.  That's Evil Tan, not Evil Twin.  And there ain't no tanning in Michigan.  So next year, it'll be DOMN8.

Paul doesn't think his '01 Superglide belongs on here.  Guess he didn't read the disclaimer on the front page...

He didn't supply much more information, but I'll cut him some slack, since I'm pretty sure he shoots, too.

Bill paid note to the fact that complimenting the Goddess gets you bonus points J  Here are some pictures of his '98 S1.  There's some real trust - standing in front of a bike with only one wheel on the ground.  He didn't say, but I'll assume the photographer is alive and well.  As for the plank thing, I'm not sure I understand it, but he took home the plaque.

Now this picture speaks for itself, so I won't say another word......

On to the next page...
